S-u-c-c-e-s-s!! That's the way I spell success :) I wracked my brain until I remembered my silly information and, ta da: a new post!
Soooo, just a little paint, and refinishing the hardwood floors right? Not quite, but we're closer to our goal of moving in. It turns out that the laundry room was largely rotten from water damage. We have a wonderful contractor, Zach, who helped us rebuild the room from the ground up. Literally the ground-he even built new foundation columns as the old ones were sinking. Rob, meanwhile has put in a brand new hot water heater, and Pex plumbing system. He's so handy :). Our electrician friend Jesse has helped us update all of the wiring, and it now goes to a lovely new modern fuse box that is a labeled with no surprises.
We are completing the last phase of our move from the current house, and will be moving into our camper while the rest of the renovations take place. Yes, you read that correctly, we are moving our baby into a camper. It's just the safest option until renovations are more under control. Pictures of the regress- er, progress to come ;)

So this is blogging...or The Seven Gables Project

Well, here I go. I have often mocked people that maintain family blogs, and for that I say "do you blame me?"...Seriously I was a hater for years, but after recently purchasing a 120 year old home, I decided to put our family adventure out there for the world to enjoy. Why not, we're just as dysfunctional as the next family, and twice as cute. So, sorry to all of you blog veterans.
For the last five years we have lived on my husband's family compound,in a modest but modern ranch style single family home. After a whirlwind turn of events, we now find ourselves owners of 8 acres of land, and an amazing, but ancient farmhouse. There are projects aplenty, including but not limited to: refinishing the heart pine floors, demolishing two non-working bathrooms, insulating, painting, constructing closets (there are only two in the entire house),restoring/replacing windows, and my favorite-decorating! I am going to use this blog to chronicle our experience. Hopefully, it won't include our slow decent into restoration induced madness.
